Denmark: About 75% of Covid hospitalizations are fully vaccinated *14 UPDATES*

Coronavirus, Denmark, Healthcare, Hospitalization, Infection, Vaccine

Denmark’s SSI now publishes raw data for new Covid cases and hospitalizations by vaccination status. The figures show that about 85% of new Covid cases and about 70% of hospitalizations are fully vaccinated.  The narrative of hospitals being full of unvaccinated patients falls apart once you look at the raw data rather than the often used per 100,000 of population figure that is being spun by governments worldwide.

To consolidate the illusion even further, within weeks, those without a third or fourth booster dose will be deemed unvaccinated. Many children are defined as unvaccinated because they aren’t eligible, and those with just one dose are also labelled as unvaccinated. And so the circus continues….

Denmark Covid dashboard

* The data for new Covid cases and hospitalizations in Denmark are no longer broken down to show those who have two vaccine doses and those with booster vaccinations. We are showing the raw numbers for new cases and hospitalizations. The infection and hospitalization figures in the SSI dashboard are generally displayed by population size (i.e. per 100,000 people). The various Covid vaccines claim to infer some protection against hospitalization, so by using raw numbers we can determine what that protection level is. Using population size as a denominator in this instance would create a false comparison. Omicron currently represents about 90% of all new cases in Denmark. *
