The recent rise of the XBB variant in Singapore recently has brought with it a potentially worrying twist – ICU admissions are now increasing faster for fully vaccinated patients with booster jabs compared with non-fully vaccinated patients.

Although we don’t have historical charts for Singapore ICU admissions by vaccine status, we are fairly sure that this change in the make-up of ICU admissions is a recent phenomenon.

 

 

So far, Covid deaths in Singapore have not seen a similar increase for fully-vaccinated individuals as ICU admissions:
