The number of Greater Manchester schools affected by confirmed Covid cases this academic year now stands at 555.
As we head towards half term, hundreds more pupils have already been told not to attend this week following positive cases among classmates, teachers or both.
They join the thousands of youngsters and staff from schools across the region already isolating amid confirmed cases. Some pupils have now been sent home for their third lot of isolation.
