Janssen (Johnson and Johnson) coronavirus vaccine trials halted after participant becomes ill
All clinical trials of a coronavirus vaccine being developed by Janssen Pharmaceuticals in Leiden have been halted after one participant became ill, parent company Johnson & Johnson say in a website announcement. ‘We have temporarily paused further dosing in all our Covid-19 vaccine candidate clinical trials, including the Phase 3 Ensemble trial, due to an unexplained illness in a study participant,’ the company said. The participant’s illness is being reviewed and evaluated under company guidelines.
