Saudi Arabia: highest coronavirus infection figures for 11 months
Saudi Arabia said on Tuesday it has recorded 1,567 COVID-19 infections during the past 24 hours, the highest daily in 11 months, bringing the tally to 486,106 cases, local media reported.
Saudi Arabia’s Health Ministry statistics showed 1,032 coronavirus cases recovered, bringing the total recoveries to 466, 578, while the number of active cases reached 11,724, including 1,406 critical.
The kingdom also recorded 15 deaths, bringing the casualties tally to 7,804.
Covid-19 vaccinations have reached about half of the 37 million population. Saudi has approved the AstraZeneca and the Pfizer/Biontech vaccines.
