
Schools could be next to close if coronavirus lockdown fails to stem infections
Schools may end up having to close if #COVID infection rates continue rising while lockdown restrictions might not end on December 2, a key Sage adviser said this morning.
Prof Sir Jeremy Farrar, director of the Wellcome Trust said the country should not become “fixed on” the end date in case four weeks was not enough to reduce the transmission rate, hospitalisations and deaths.
