Italy: 203 people fined for not wearing a mask on public transport

203 people, including 31 children and 11 drivers, were caught and fined a total of €81,000.

On public transport without a mask: 203 people were fined for this reason throughout Italy as a result of a Nas campaign that controlled 30 thousand users overall.  The total amount of the penalties is 81 thousand euros. Among the fined 31 minors, representing 15% of the total, and also 11 drivers.

In all, the Nas checks concerned 3,058 vehicles used for transport, including urban and suburban buses (65%), subways (12%), local rail and navigation connections (23%). The fined in some cases were totally without a mask, in others they did not wear the FFP2, which remains necessary for access and use of means of transport.
