Iraq: 273 cases of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever, 49 deaths
The Iraqi Ministry of Health announced a high number of infections and deaths from Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever.
In a brief statement, the ministry stated that the number of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever cases rose to 273, while 49 deaths were recorded.
Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever is a viral disease with a mortality rate of up to 40%, according to the World Health Organization.
