About 20% of health workers in one Danish hospital vaccinated with the Astrazeneca vaccine experience mild side effects

The North Jutland Region of Denmark is to vaccinate one third of a hospital ward staff at a time instead of a half. The slowdown is due to more employees reporting in sick after they have been vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine, writes TV2 Nord.

‘Approximately 20 percent of those vaccinated experience mild side effects from the vaccine. There is nothing unusual about that. ”

“A small percentage will also experience side effects that require a few days of sick leave. In that sense, it is also normal, “says Søren Hjortshøj [Hospital].

Also in Sweden, hospital employees have become ill after vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine. As a result, two regions have temporarily suspended their use of the vaccine. One region is Sörmland, where about 100 out of 400 vaccinated hospital staff have experienced side effects such as fever.
