Mink mutation coronavirus now 31% of all infections in North Jutland, Denmark

Denmark’s SSI: Coronavirus from mink is still contagious in the community

Approximately 15 million mink have been killed so far, mink variations of corona infection have become more and more widespread in society.

The proportion of infected people who are infected with a variant of the mink-mutated coronavirus has increased in the North Jutland, Central Jutland and Southern Denmark Region.

Overall, fewer people have been infected with the coronavirus in the three regions, the survey shows from week 44 to week 47, which ended on 22 November.

However, mink variations account for an increasing proportion of those who have been infected in the three regions, the figures from SSI show.

In the North Jutland Region, the proportion of infected with mink variations has increased from 17 percent to 31 percent from week 44 to week 47.
