Austria to drop all coronavirus restrictions

Austria, Coronavirus, Infection, Lockdown, Side Effects, Transmission, Vaccine

The Austrian government is easing almost all Covid restrictions from the 5th March 2022. Unvaccinated people will be allowed to enter all areas that were previously covered by the 2G or 3G regulations without a test.

Gastronomy, hotels and the like can be visited by everyone again in the future, including the unvaccinated, without any proof. In highly vulnerable areas (retirement and nursing homes as well as hospitals), the 3G rule for employees and visitors remains in place.

Austria imposed some of the harshest restrictions on the unvaccinated in Europe just weeks ago, along with regulations fining people for not being vaccinated. The regulations lead to widespread street protests.
