Global: SARS-CoV-2 deaths at lowest level since March 2020

The global death rate from SARS-CoV-2 is plummeting. The death toll from the coronavirus on 27th March 2022 was just 2,309 according OWD. That’s the lowest figure since March 24th 2020, at the very beginning of the pandemic.

 

The daily death rate for Covid hasn’t been this low since 24th March 2020, at the very beginning of the pandemic, when the figure was 2,321 in one day

 

The cumulative case fatality rate is also at its lowest point in two years, at just 1.27% of cases.
