A 2023 preprint that investigates reports of post vaccination syndrome, or PVS, in 241 adults.
The study, just out on Medrxiv, compiles a list of post vaccination syndrome symptoms most commonly reported by patients following vaccination by either Pfizer and Moderna Covid-19 vaccinations.
The five most common symptoms [of PVS] were exercise intolerance (71%), excessive fatigue (69%), numbness (63%), brain fog (63%), and neuropathy (63%).
If the above list has a familiar ring, it might be because many of the symptoms are also common among Long Covid sufferers.
Symptoms contributing to PASC score included postexertional malaise, fatigue, brain fog, dizziness, gastrointestinal symptoms, palpitations, changes in sexual desire or capacity, loss of or change in smell or taste, thirst, chronic cough, chest pain, and abnormal movements.
To be clear, we are NOT suggesting that vaccinations are the cause of all Long Covid. We are aware that millions of people were infected with SARS-CoV-2 before any Covid-19 vaccines were rolled out, and a considerable number of people with early SARS-CoV-2 infections went on to develop Long Covid.
That being said, some people are clearly more susceptible to developing Long Covid than others. Bio markers for the disease are now being found on a regular basis in studies across the globe.
Has Long Covid perhaps been triggered by vaccination rather than infection in some of the population? It is beginning to look increasingly likely.
