A South African variant of the virus has been detected in sequencing from one previously reported chain of infection in the Essote area of Finland. Among the cases was one person who had already received both vaccines. Clearly younger people in the chain than in the previous infection chain were hospitalized. This indicates that special care must be taken due to virus variants.
