Around 40 percent of people infected with the coronavirus have Long Covid-like symptoms – regardless of whether they knew about their infection more than six months ago or not.

According to a study by the Mainz University Hospital, one in three people report that they are not as productive as before after being infected with Sars-CoV-2, says the head of the study, Philipp Wild.

Of the numerous symptoms “without a clear clinical pattern” are fatigue, odour and taste disorders, memory disorders, shortness of breath/shortness of breath and sleep disorders, joint pain and mood swings.
