USA: 5 gorillas test positive for SARS-CoV-2 in Dallas

Five gorillas at the Dallas Zoo have tested positive for COVID-19, the zoo said Tuesday.

The zoo’s lab results, which were received yesterday on samples taken Feb. 1, are preliminary and are awaiting confirmation from the National Veterinary Services Laboratory.

Animals at both Dallas and Fort Worth zoos are to get vaccinated.

A Fort Worth Zoo correspondent says there is no scheduled date at this time for the vaccination as it is still being determined.
