Scotland: 88% of Covid deaths and 66% of new Covid cases are fully vaccinated

The Covid-19 situation for the fully vaccinated in Scotland continues to deteriorate. For the most recent period, up to the 22 October 2021, 88% of Covid-19 deaths were fully vaccinated and 66% of new infections were fully vaccinated. These figures are very much higher than the last time we reported on Scotland in this post.

The information below comes from Public Health Scotland, and can be downloaded here. The key charts from the report are reproduced below. We have excluded the partially vaccinated from the results for clarity.

The fully vaccinated now represent 66% of new Covid-19 cases, up from 50% one month ago:

The chances of being hospitalized if you are fully vaccinated are far higher than if you are unvaccinated for most age groups in Scotland:
