UK: Boris Johnson announces new restrictions to combat bad press Omicron
Boris Johnson has announced new Covid restrictions for the UK today to combat the spread of the Omicron variant in the country. In an obviously pre-planned announcement to force the issue, UK Sage scientists earlier declared that hospitalizations could reach 1,000 a day within weeks.
Boris Johnson: “We can’t assume that Omicron is less severe than Delta”
The new restrictions, which come into force on the 15th December 2021, are:
- Working from home reintroduced – work from home if you can
- Vaccine passports introduced for nightclubs, etc
- Facemasks reintroduced in public indoor areas such as cinemas, theatres etc
- Mandatory vaccinations are a possibility if vaccines prove effective against Omicron
UPDATE: Experts warn Working from home and Covid passports won’t stop spiralling cases
Boris Johnson won’t need to bother with any of this newfangled restrictions malarkey at 10 Downing Street of course. He will simply continue to promote UK food and drink businesses as often as he possibly can.
